More Temporary Shelters are Needed

Church World Service continues distributing non-food items to earthquake-affected communities. A total of 45 family tents, 35 packages of CWS Baby Kits, 58 boxes of kitchen utensils, 105 mosquito nets and 18 buckets of relief kits were handed out in Paninjauan village October 15.

“We are grateful for the aid that CWS has handed out to the community here.," said Yunaidi, a villager in Sibaruas, Sungai Limau sub-district. "We need more temporary shelters though. There are still  some families that do not have shelter yet."

Four families also received tents distributed in Pasir Baru village. CWS, with the help of community members in each village, demonstrated how to erect the tents.
