What We Do

Health and Nutrition

Children in TTS District waiting for their mothers to prepare biscuits made of mung beans and corn

National health and nutrition indicators show a disparity of health and nutrition amongst different socio-economic groups and regions of Indonesia. Inadequacies in health care in certain regions have a disproportionately large impact on children under five, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.

CWS works in close coordination with local government agencies to improve access vulnerable communities to health services, strengthen the capacity of relevant local institutions, and provide technical health assistance. Specifically, CWS focuses on health promotion and disease prevention, reproductive health, nutrition education and supplementation.
