Church World Service Continues to Support Well Cleaning
Selasa, 27 Oktober 2009A sound and clean well is an important source of clean water in rural areas. Church World Service continues to assist the community in Padang Pariaman district to clean their contaminated wells. So far CWS has cleaned 73 wells in Sungai Limau sub-district, Padang Pariaman district, West Sumatra.
In addition to one water pump that CWS has distributed to clean wells, the community in Sibaruas villager received another water pump, which they will use to clean their contaminated wells. The villagers will clean their well after receiving briefing from CWS on steps to clean the well.
The local community of Durian Daun village has cleaned 5 wells. CWS supports this initiative by providing one water pump to support the cleaning of 40 more wells in this village.
